Thermal Transfer machines
At H&T Labels, we are the perfect partner to help bring your labels to life. Using the overprinting method produces great results if done right.
Here at H&T Labels, we use Thermal-transfer printing, which is a digital printing method in which we apply information to paper by melting a coating of ribbon so it stays glued to the material on which we apply the print. Typically, a ribbon is placed between the print head of the thermal transfer machine and the label. The heat from the print head causes the ribbon to melt the info onto the label.
Direct thermal printing is where no ribbon is present in the printing process, instead, the image gets burnt directly onto the chosen thermal substrate. The thermal transfer printing technique is more flexible and delivers prints that can last the test of time. While Direct thermal printing is cheaper and better for high-volume work. If you can’t decide, don’t fret, as we supply both and will give you the best solution for your printing needs. We will source the correct printer according to your specification. That’s not all, you can also contact us for all your consumables needs.
If you are in need of ribbon or blank labels– we supply that too!
